Shot Composition Breakdown
Both subjects mostly occupy two different triangles
Subject occupies centre and left thirds of the frame, not a centred composition as the subject is off centre to the left
Subject occupies centre and right thirds of the frame, subject's face is not centred so therefore is a rule of thirds composition
Neither subjects invade each other's thirds, even though one subjects occupies two thirds with the other subject only in one third, they do not impose on each other's spaces
Mirror frames create a classic frame within a frame shot
Subject's figure of how the raised arm relates to his left shoulder creates a triangle shape, centring him inside the mirror frame
A difficult shot to describe, it is neither rule of thirds nor any symmetrical composition. Empty space is occupied by the lamp and cupboard door, subject is not centre framed but to the right slightly. Could maybe be described as another frame within a frame but we are missing half of the mirror edges. Therefore as its a busy shot, we can call this dynamic asymmetry.
